Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Hope108 collects when you use this website, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and how you can ask us to change or delete it. It describes what the site actually does — not a template.
In effect from 9 August 2026
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Hope108 - Anayajothi Charitable Trust, A5, Kirthi Flats, Abdual Razack First Street, Saidapet, Chennai 600015.
For anything in this policy — including a request to see, correct or delete your data — please use the contact form at /contact. It is currently the only channel we publish, and messages sent through it reach the trust directly.
2. What we collect, and when
We only collect information you type into a form yourself. There is no account system and no hidden collection.
Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, subject and message.
Volunteer form: your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you tell us about how you would like to help.
Newsletter signup: your email address, your name if you give it, and your language and topic preferences.
Donations: your name, email address, phone number, the amount and whether it is one-time or monthly, any message you add, and your PAN if you choose to provide one. You may also mark a donation anonymous, which means we do not display your name publicly — we still hold the record, because we have to.
We do not ask for, and have no use for, any special category of personal data. Please do not send us health, financial or identity documents through these forms.
3. Why we collect it
To reply to you when you write to us.
To coordinate volunteering, where you have asked to volunteer.
To send the newsletter, where you have asked for it.
To take a donation, keep an accurate record of it, and send you a confirmation.
We do not use your information to profile you, and we do not make automated decisions about you.
4. About PAN
PAN is optional. We ask for it only so that we are able to issue an income-tax receipt if and when the trust's 80G/12A registration is confirmed.
To be direct about it: that registration is not confirmed today, so we cannot currently issue a tax-exemption receipt for any donation. If a receipt matters to you, please ask us at /contact before you give.
If you would rather not give a PAN, leave the field blank — it does not affect your donation.
5. Who else sees your information
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Razorpay processes donation payments. Your card or UPI details are entered on Razorpay's systems and are never seen or stored by this website. Razorpay handles that data under its own privacy policy.
Cloudflare hosts this site and stores its database, and Mailgrid sends donation confirmation emails on our behalf.
Form submissions and donation records are also passed to the trust's own internal system so that staff can follow up with you.
We may disclose information if the law requires it of us.
6. Cookies and what your browser stores
This site runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking scripts.
The only things kept in your browser are your language choice, your currency choice, and a flag remembering that we have already offered you a language suggestion. They stay on your device, are used only to keep the site in the language and currency you picked, and are not sent anywhere.
Clearing your browser storage removes them and nothing breaks.
7. How long we keep it
We keep donation records for as long as we are required to for accounting and tax purposes.
Enquiries, volunteer registrations and newsletter subscriptions are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until they are no longer useful for the purpose you gave them for.
We have not yet set a fixed deletion schedule. Until we do, ask us at /contact and we will delete your information.
8. Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to delete it.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
You can withdraw consent for us to contact you, and we will stop.
To do any of these, write to us at /contact and tell us what you would like. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you may raise a grievance with us the same way, and you retain your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
9. Children
This site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their information, tell us at /contact and we will delete it.
10. Security
Form submissions travel over an encrypted connection and are stored in a database that only the trust's authorised people can reach. Payment details never touch this website.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
